Post placement supervision is provided for a period of time after you receive your child. Services are provided on domestic adoption until your adoption is final. Services are provided on international adoptions according to the requirements of the country from which you adopt. Foreign countries require the agency that does your home study to provide the post placement reports.
We do not believe that adoption is an "event" but rather a dynamic life-long commitment to your child and family. We have many opportunities for adoptive families to connect with each other, such as support groups, play groups, as well as educational workshops about how to parent adopted children, lifebook workshops, and discussion panels that feature each member of the adoption triad. (birth families, adoptees, and adoptive parents) We can also help you gather information about taking your internationally adopted child back to his or her place of birth when he or she is older.
The following fees are as of July 1, 2007. All fees are reviewed periodically and are subject to change without notice. All services provided and fees charged after the fees schedules are revised will be billed at the new rate.
$1200. The home study is the first step in the Adoption Process. Our Adoption Specialist will explain the adoption process and help you get started with the home study. She/he will also help you with all the necessary documents for the state regulations and the reports required by the court. A home study is required by the court for all Domestic, International and Relative adoptions.
$300 per visit. Normally 2 visits are required, as well as court reports
If you have already selected an agency, we are able to complete your home study and post placements reports.
$1400. All international adoptions require a licensed Adoption Agency to complete a home study that meets USCIS and country of origin requirements. Our agency is able to meet all of these requirements. We work with many of the top accredited agencies in the United States. To gain accreditation, the foreign country must designate the agency and have an agreement to accept paperwork from that agency.
$350 per visit. Most countries require at least 3 visits, but each country has it's own set of regulations.
